    WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS EVER!

    I agree with the comment posted here. We had 'Ed' the owner of the business come out to 'top' our trees in order to let the light in. He did not do this...he removed some trees and he also topped 'our neighbours!!!!' as they asked him while he was there. Rang him back to come and remove more limbs off a large tree and he kept making excuses that his truck was not working and the one he had did not hold a long ladder!! Never heard from him again and he never answered his phone either.

    Unreliable, Untrustworthy Landscape Firm

    Owner of business personally handled our original inquiry, visited our home site, provided verbal quote for lawn care, appeared trustworthy, and sold my wife and me on a year long "lawn care program". Owner asked for up front prepayment of hundreds of dollars to secure the lawn services, which we paid him. Afterwards he showed up twice, then vanished and never returned. I called repeatedly to see what happened but the phone was never answered. I left a numerous messages over several weeks but never received any reply or response. Shelby Landscaping took our full payment but did not finish the job and left us stranded with no explanation. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND Shelby Landscaping and Tree Service due to our experience. In retrospect, we should have gotten references, which is a good idea before ever prepaying someone to work on your home or property. We also came to learn Shelby Landscaping has no fixed or published address. The experience taught us it's always wiser to check into that and hire an outfit with an address, not one that's hiding. One good thing we got from dealing with Shelby Landscaping was a couple of lessons on steps we can take in future to protect ourselves from shady business people. Always get references and a fixed address from any firm before hiring or paying them money.
