The search for frames began in October, I went to optometrists, 2 for 1 places, Big Box Stores where I spoke to many sales staff all of which were focused mainly on fashion and making a sale. My current eyewear was in terrible shape. I was desperate so I Googled Langley “Eye Glass Frames near me” and up came Crossing Optical, Siri took me there.
Ana, the owner, greeted me warmly. Frames were found (several sizes were available in same styles), lenses were discussed. I felt vindicated because

I have been going to North Shore optical since my doctor told me I could benefit from reading glasses. The staff is hands down one of the friendliest staff I have ever met! My eye doctor tried to pressure me into buying glasses from his connected store but it made me feel uncomfortable and the glasses were sooooo boring! I'd seen North Shore optical on the street before so I thought I give them a try and boy I wasn't disappointed. I had this idea of big 80's style frames something big and comfy they didn't have exactly what I wanted but they took me through a catalog and showed me the perfect pair , they were so knowledgeable and patient! It actually seemed like they cared! Instead of the regular do you like any of these...No? oh well try some where else then. If you want to have a great optical experience hands down I cant recommend them enough they really know their stuff!

I've been buy my glasses from them since 2003. I know the original owner as I sold computers to him. The current owner is Wayne and he is very knowledgeable about eye wear. They sell both regular glasses as well as contact lens. They don't rush me and explains clearly to me the options I've and the advantage/disadvantage of each choice. I live in Vancouver and tried the optician near me. It constantly broke, they gave me a refund and I went back to Wayne. I learn my mistake and switched back.

I have got two pairs of eye glasses from them. Prices are reasonable and quality of lenses is exceptional. I have recommended them to couple of people and they are satisfied with the service too. Definitely recommending them to more people.

Straight up awesomeness with a capital "Awe"! Alright where do I begin? Walking into this place was really impressive! The decor was spot on. High-end retail meets upper class martini lounge feel. I expected to be throwing down some major dough but the prices are insanely great especially considering the quality of what you're getting. The staff are so helpful and actually care about you. They want you to see well and to rock your eye-wear too. They're knowledgeable and definitely instill a feeling of family and home with all their clients. The lenses are top notch and the brands are from Europe (some of which you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere else). You'll be walking out of the boutique not just with sweet eye-wear but also with a feeling of consumer satisfaction that you can't get anywhere else. A++! Did I already say this place is awesome?

Bought two pairs of Maui Jim sun glasses from Thomas of Midgate Optical last year. The glasses themselves are great, as all Maui Jim users would agree. Thomas was very helpful and very helpful.
This week, I bought another pair of Sports glasses from Midgate Optical. They fit perfectly. I got the prescription glasses put on plus transition to grey in the outdoor.

My wife and I visited this store when my wife was in need of a new pair of glasses. We were instantly impressed with the great customer service they offered. They were patient and helpful with suggestions as my wife tried on a wide variety of frames that suited her. Then, after narrowing down her choices to a top three, they waited patiently while my daughter and I joined my wife to help her make the final verdict. They even had a bowl of candies for our daughter to choose from. They took my wife's prescription and whipped up the glasses in no time flat. Upon learning that my wife also wears contact lenses they insisted that my wife try the solution that they carry because they feel its the best. They gave her a bottle to try free...and not a little sample bottle...a full-sized bottle! My wife was so impressed with her overall experience that she took all of her optical business here and got them to handle her contact lens needs as well. We took both of our daughters (3.5 and 1) to get their eyes checked with Dr. Clement Chan, and he did very well to make the eye exam quick and fun for them. My elder daughter had told him about her favourite Disney princess, and Clement prepared a special video of that princess for her to watch during one part of her eye exam. We appreciated Clement's thoroughness and friendliness, and will definitely be back.
As a bonus, his office is newly renovated and right besides Menchie's.

I would definitely recommend working with optician Mathew at The Eye Opener in Port Coquitlam when you are next shopping for prescriptive glasses. He was professional, courteous and very helpful throughout the whole experience. He really listens to what you want and then tries to match you up with frames that are suitable. The final price for my new progressive lenses was good and I was also happy with what he charged to put new lenses into glasses I already had.
