Talk about clean up! This place used to be suspect at the best of times, and it looks like the new owners are doing everything right! Great new menu featuring inventive items such as deep fried pickes, and an amazing thin crust pizza. Cool craft beers on tap as well (I had the Granville Maple Lager). Will be back!

Go for the food and stay for the entertainment. On the food side, this place does a great job. Start with the wings, lots of flavours. Move onto the Hunan Noodle Bowl with shrimp, you won't be disappointed or go with the burger, always a good choice. Most nights features some sort of entertainment.

I love the idea of having half the place be a bar with dancing and club (dance) music and then the other half of the place is a pub style with seats. Awesome concept., good times.

My Girlfriend and I will be moving soon in the Wentworth area and we just discovered the Fergus & Bix beer market. Their menu is comfort food inspired and they have a great selection of micro brewed beer. I recommand this place to anyone!

Servicing the business sector of downtown Calgary, West Restaurant is a great place to have lunch with colleagues or clients. The atmosphere is very modern and populated with business clientele, the service is quick, the pricing is reasonable, and the food is delicious.
The only challenge I had was that I didn't make a reservation for lunch, and at 11:30 it was very busy and our table of 3 just about did not get in. There isn't any signage in ScotiaBank (as of posting May 21, 2010) as to where to go, at least I couldn't see it, so you have to make your way to the 2nd floor to enter the restaurant.
Overall, I would visit West restaurant again.

This pub is usually quite empty so its perfect for big groups - you can sit anywhere you like and be as loud as you like. Quite honestly, I don't understand why its not busier. This pub is absolutely one of my favorites. Easy to walk to from the LRT and bus stops and in the trendy Stephen Ave area, its atmosphere is awesome. The prices are competitive and specials are on everyday of the week. It is certainly one of the most affordable pubs out there - serving $6 Caesars even on Saturdays. With live music, too, its a busy and energetic place. Definitely recommend it!

If you are looking for a great place to meet up with friends to have some drinks and watch some sports, St. James Corner is the perfect atmosphere. It has flat screens positioned everywhere so you can enjoy the game and still socialize. The crowd is varies, it's not too young and not too old. The best part about St.James Corner for me is the food. Favorite menu items that are must: Mini Yorkies, Mini Sliders, Sweet Potato Fries, and the Nachos. Bathrooms are located downstairs but are always clean. The staff is very attentive and efficient.
