Best regards to Gabriel and Simone with this business. I was reffered to this place by a business associate and my experience was really worth it! The roti was filled with just the right amount of dahl and the curry was juicy and tasty. I loved the hot sauce so much! They even have three different types to buy from. Great job and you will be seeing me very soon with more of my friends.

This comment is with regards to the "Dave" or...

This comment is with regards to the "Dave" or "Oakville Trini" comments: Why is it that this person is continuously going to D Hot Shoppe on more than one occassion if they had such a "horrible" experience there in the first place. You talk about how "Kori's" is so much better. Well go to Kori's and stop coming to D Hot Shoppe for food if that is your place of choice for Roti. You would think since you did not like there so much that you would not come back a second time but yet you still keep coming. WHY? This doesn't make any sense? I personally deal with D Hot Shoppe on numerous occassions and neither me nor the people I have functions for have every complained about their food or service. Gabriel and Simone are very nice people who are dedicated to their business and they always go out of the way to cater to my needs and the needs of my guests. So "Dave" or "oakville Trini" keep going were you like to go and stop nagging about D Hot Shoppe's food.

I attended a wedding reception at this place and...

I attended a wedding reception at this place and everything was to die for!!!! The food was ready and waiting for us when we arrived and me and my friends even had more than one serving. My belly was full to the max after that dinner. Thanks for the great night and will definitely be back for more again.

I'm new to Burlington having moved from Oakville...

I'm new to Burlington having moved from Oakville, where Caribbean food does not exist. So, in order to find authentic West Indian grub I'd have to drive to Scarborough. But, no more! Everything is freshly prepared. No rankness here. Without a doubt, this place will be on our dinner menu more often than not. For those few peeople who griped about service, it's not your run-of-the-mill franchise with condescending staff who don't care if you return (because they know they have a name that carries more weight and could care less about losing customers). It's a small family business that cooks everything fresh daily...the same guy who greets you is the same guy who takes and makes your order. Customers who come in do so for the great home cooking. If you want customer service go to McDonalds where they'll serve you processed butts and lips with a smile and tell you to have a nice day. Oh, and the black pudding is out of this world!

Who needs a 'fancy' place when the food is...

Who needs a 'fancy' place when the food is excellent and the owners are very very friendly.. We go there several times a week for lunch. This place is more like home cooking than a resto and we all need that warm ambiance. Long life to this place..
