I dont know where those past 2 reviews get their information, they obviously havn't been to this restaurant. The food is great, the service is great (my favourite is Mark), and the overall atmosphere is outstanding. The owner is a great guy, very friendly. J. Doe clearly is an uneducated moron. Way to have the balls to put your real name aswell. Can you say jeleous of the success of a great restaurant?
Jakes is a fun place to go, and definitely the most casual and youth-oriented in Unionville (which can get a bit stuffy and 'charming') with a great patio out front perfect for enjoying a summer evening away from the city. That being said, the food is mostly standard sports-bar fare and the vibe can get a bit too "college buddies cutting loose". I'll definitely be back, but you need to be in the mood for pitchers and wings. On nice summer days, expect to wait in line for a seat.

The food was great and i was happy to hear that they had boddingtons on tap....I hardly find it anywhere! My wife and hadn't been here before but we came with an old friend of ours and had a great time. The waitress was really sweet and quick with everything......almost. The atmosphrere of the restaurant was so relaxing, especially with the warmth from the mainstreet. Overall, I had a great time and my wife and I have now found another place we would love to come again. Great job!
