I am a carpenter/contractor and I have been shopping at both GBS locations for years. Its rare to find a business of any kind whose employees are as friendly and helpful as the people at Gibson's Building Supply. I can usually get what I need, but if there is something that they don't have, they can usually order it for me and it will be there in just a few days. I'll give GBS 4 3/4 stars out of 5!

Very friendly and helpful Has a huge selection gone there for fixes for my boat.motor home and house. Cant say enough for the staff. Looks small on the outside but lots of selection on inside.

The location is good and I can usually find parking in front. The staff are very helpful. As well, they have so much stuff squeezed into this store ... the kind of stuff you need to keep a house running well and in good shape. I don’t think I have ever left the store without the item I was looking for. And I almost always leave with something I wasn’t planning to buy. ?

First time leaving a review for anything but I felt that I had to do it because their service was really good and I brought 3 keys which were like copied in 5 minutes and they all work pretty the same and it's only like 3 dollars each so I think its a steal! Made my day :)

I called 7 lumber yards to get a quote for a small project. Dunbar Lumbers price was 30% less then the next lowest one. Obviously I went with them. I did my order over the phone and e-mail and it was delivered to my door the next day. When it was discovered that an error had been made in my order they immediately accepted that, no hassle. The replacement pieces were delivered within an hour at no extra charge. Will I shop with them again? Duh. Probably won't even call around next time.

I had great & friendly service. My deadbolt tumbler was "frozen" so I removed it & went to the shop. He fixed it and didn't charge me & gave me free advice on how to care for the deadbolt. Re:In the defense of Tidey Lock in previous comment posted re:charge out fees. I have found those fees normal for ALL locksmiths. When called out, they have top bring tools & the truck containing the tools. Distance doesn't matter from my experiences, as a landlord who used many companies in the past.
